3-7 Locking up / unlocking a box

A box can be locked or unlocked by choosing the (Un)Lock a box command from the Edit menu, or by using the Alt+W shortcut. A locked box is distinguished by the small slash "/" sign in the bottom-right corner :

When a box is locked, editing within this box and its sub-boxes is impossible. However you can still :

If a macro is locked, the name of the macro cannot be fully edited, but only the "variable" part of the name if there is one, that is the part following the "/" sign. In order to be able to edit the full name, you must first unlock the box.

When you lock a box, all the sub-macros within the box are locked too. However, when you unlock a box, the sub-macros within the box are not unlocked.

Note about Library macros : You cannot lock up a module (i.e. an elementary, non openable box from the Library). If a macro fetched from the Library is unlocked, the ">" sign is added in front of its name. This means that this unlocked macro is not a Library macro any more : it has been modified.
